Selection Process
  1. Short-listed applicants will be invited to attend an interview. The Admissions Panel will assess appropriate qualified applicants’ motivation, maturity, communication skills, language proficiency, and suitability of the applicants for the programme at the time of the interview. The interview will be group-based and interactive.
  2. Application result will be reflected in the application status in the online application system.
AimsThe Programme aims to:
  1. equip students with knowledge and understanding in general business and management;
  2. prepare students in the application and integration of general business and management knowledge in the international contexts;
  3. assist students in the acquisition of professional skills which are essential to their business career and professional development; and
  4. enable students to appreciate the importance of corporate sustainability and business ethics, especially in the global business environment.

Study CurriculumThe study curriculum may change from time to time. Applicants may make reference to the programme website or the University Student Handbook for details of the list of courses.

Academic Qualification

 

  1. A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or comparable institution; or
  2. A professional qualification deemed to be equivalent.

 

Language Proficiency Requirement

 

Applicants should possess a good command of English, both written and spoken. If English was not the medium of instruction for the first degree, applicants are required to provide evidence of good English proficiency, e.g. English standard with:

 

  1. a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (internet-based)*; or
  2. IELTS overall band score of 6.5*; or
  3. qualifications deemed to be equivalent.

*Note: Test result provided should be within two years from the date of issuance of the Admission Offer letter. TOEFL iBT Home Edition or IELTS Indicator test is not accepted.

 

Others

 

Applicants should:

 

  1. submit a personal statement of not more than 500 words on their motivation to study the programme, as part of the application materials;
  2. have a satisfactory performance in the admission interview;
  3. GMAT is not required but highly encouraged.

 

An array of MScBM scholarships and awards scheme is set up to reward outstanding students, including International Postgraduate Scholarship, MScBM Diversity Contribution Scholarship, MScBM Entrance Award and Graduation Academic Awards. 
 
International Postgraduate Scholarship is offered to outstanding international students. Scholarship recipients will get full tuition waiver plus HK$100,000 living allowance (approx. US$12,820). Eligible international applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship based on their all-round record and interview performance. 
 
The MScBM Diversity Contribution Scholarship is awarded to students who can enhance the diversity of the programme through their international exposure, cultural experiences, overseas education, work experience, special achievement and talents.  The scholarship amount ranges from half to full tuition coverage.
 
The MScBM Entrance Award aims to offer financial support to new entrants with distinguishing qualifications to pursue full-time MScBM study while the MScBM Graduation Academic Awards are for students who have attained excellent scholastic performance.
