Academic Problems
Students whose academic performance is NOT up to the standard as prescribed by the University will receive academic warning, be placed on academic probation, or be dismissed. Please see below for details.
| For students taking 12 units or more counting towards GPA in a semester | |

| Academic Warning | with a semester GPA between 1.67 and 1.99 for the same semester. |
| Academic Probation | with a semester GPA below 1.67 for the same semester. |
| Academic Dismissal | with a semester GPA of below 1.67 for two consecutive semesters; or on other academic grounds. |
| For students taking less than 12 units counting towards GPA in a semester | |

| Academic Warning | with a semester GPA below 2.00 for the same semester. |
| Academic Probation | with a semester GPA below 1.67 for two consecutive semesters. |
| Academic Dismissal | with a semester GPA of below 1.67 for three consecutive semesters; or on other academic grounds. |
Students with academic problems may be required by the major department/programme:
- to repeat study; or
- to be dismissed.
