The objective of the IR is to review and assess the standards of BNU-HKBU UIC’s Faculties/Schools in teaching and learning and research, and to ascertain the BNU-HKBU UIC has the fit-for-purpose management structure, resources, infrastructure and academic environment for offering academic programmes and conducting research at the standard which is commensurable with that of HKBU and that the strategic direction of the BNU-HKBU UIC is in line with that of HKBU. Accordingly, the process of the IR is as follows:
- HKBU convenes the IR Committee consisting of its staff members as stipulated by QAC.
- BNU-HKBU UIC submits an Self-Evaluation Document (SED), referencing the Approach-Deployment-Results-Improvement (ADRI) reflective review practice, for the Committee’s review before the visit.
- The Committee’s feedback and recommendations will be incorporated in an official report for the BNU-HKBU UIC’s quality enhancements.
- BNU-HKBU UIC checks out the recommendations and devises action plans cumulating in an official response to HKBU as a follow-up to the IR.
