QA of Existing Programmes
To assure academic quality, programme revision protocols are in place to govern changes at institutional, programme and course levels. Institutional-level revisions which involve major programme revisions (e.g. changes to title and award of degree, and programme duration, etc.) shall require the approval of the Senate via the Quality Assurance Committee (QAC). For Sub-degree programmes, the revisions should route through the Quality Assurance Sub-Committee on Sub-degree Programmes (QASC). Programme-level revisions (e.g. aims, objectives and learning outcomes of programme, etc.) shall require the approval of the Faculty/School/AVA/UIC-Division Board. Course-level revisions (e.g. reading list/reference/textbooks of courses, etc.) shall require the approval of the Department/Programme Management Committee.
All revisions to the approved programmes shall be endorsed and approved by the respective authorities in accordance with the programme revision protocols.
