SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION
Dean: Dr (Hon) Simon C H Wong

The educational objectives of the School of Continuing Education (SCE) are based on "Learning is a lifelong process". People of all ages can choose to pursue various studies at different levels and different times.

The SCE's support for "open education" has resulted in a wide range of educational programmes which include degree, diploma, certificate programmes and part-time short courses in various academic disciplines and professional areas. Seminars, workshops and in-house training are held for specific purposes.

Individuals completing a programme through the SCE will, depending on the nature of the programme, be awarded a Certificate, Diploma, or Associate, Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree from SCE, HKBU or one of the School's collaborating universities. Graduates may also gain recognition from certain professional institutions in Hong Kong and abroad.

More than 400 programmes and short courses were planned for each of the three terms of the year: spring, summer and autumn. To make education opportunities accessible to individuals living in different districts, the SCE holds classes at five off-campus centres in addition to the HKBU Campus Centre located in Kowloon Tong and the HKBU Shek Mun (Sha Tin) Campus Centre located in Sha Tin. They are Tsim Sha Tsui Centre, HKBU Town Centre (Tsim Sha Tsui), Kowloon East Centre (Kwun Tong), Wan Chai Centre, and Causeway Bay Centre.
