Postgraduate Certificate in Music
The MA in Music is a two-year part-time taught master's degree requiring 30 credit units. It offers modules in Classroom Music, Choral Conducting, Piano Pedagogy, Music Culture in Hong Kong and Music for Young Children. The completion of a Dissertation Project is optional. Students may choose to take two elective courses as replacement.
The PgD in Music is a two-year part-time programme requiring 24 credit units. It offers modules in Classroom Music, Choral Conducting, Piano Pedagogy, Music Culture in Hong Kong and Music for Young Children.
The PgC requires the completion of one module (6 units) from the following: Classroom Music, Choral Conducting, Piano Pedagogy, Music Culture in Hong Kong and Music for Young Children.
These programmes aim to stimulate enquiry and reflective professional and creative activity; to provide opportunities for scholarship in music and music education; to provide theoretical, practical, and technological frameworks for pedagogical, creative, and academic accomplishment in the Hong Kong cultural context; and to contribute to the development of the scholastic community and society at large.
