Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sport and Recreation Leadership

The Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sport and Recreation Leadership is a three-year full-time programme for associate degree graduates who wish to acquire necessary knowledge and skills to develop a career in the sport and recreation industry. 3. Provide students with a comprehensive knowledge in the delivery and management of sport and recreation programmes and services;
4. Equip students with an array of vocational skills that are important in a range of sport and recreation settings to meet the needs of a diverse population, in particular, people with special needs; and
5. Develop students’ analytical skills, creativity and leadership qualities to perform successfully in the sport and recreation industry.

Most courses are taught by a combination of lecture-discussions and field experiences such as site-visits, observations, and case studies. A special feature of the programme is its practical orientation, which include extensive professional placements that will provide students with work integrated learning experiences in both mainstream sport and recreation organizations and in organizations that serve people with special needs.
