The Department of Finance and Decision Sciences comprises 14 faculty members and is the home department for the Finance concentration and the Information Systems and e-Business Management concentration of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) degree programme offered by the School of Business. Members in the Department have research interests in finance, information systems management, and decision sciences. Research strengths in the Department include: financial derivatives, investment strategies, risk management, electronic commerce, decision support systems, multimedia technology, telecommunications management, and game theory. In addition to teaching in the undergraduate curriculum, the Department is also heavily involved in the teaching of the Master of Business Administration and the MSc in Applied Accounting and Finance programme. Members in the Department are also very experienced in taking up consultation jobs initiated by the business community.
