The Bachelor of Arts in Liberal and Cultural Studies is a self-financed four-year full-time degree programme designed for Associate Degree/Higher Diploma graduates who wish to further their education in liberal and cultural studies. The programme intends to equip students with substantial cultural literacy, creative arts knowledge and transferable abilities through a curriculum integrating Chinese and world arts and cultures. Providing a broad-based liberal arts education with special emphasis on cultural literacy, it aims at training students’ creative, synthesizing, disciplined, respectful and ethical minds. It teaches transferable abilities such as writing and presentation skills, creative and critical thinking, and sensitivity to cultural diversity, which could be applied to many professions including, among others, education, creative industries, cultural presentations, art administration, journalism, print media, electronic media, management and public relations.
