Minor Programme in Statistics
 

Students seeking to pursue the study of a minor programme would need to fulfil 15 units of courses specified by the offering department/programme, and note that no registration priority will be given to enrolment in minor courses. Upon completion of the 15 units required for the minor programmes, students should apply to the Academic Registry for approval.

Required Courses 6 units
STAT 1620* Computer-Aided Statistics 3 units
  STAT 2110 Regression Analysis 3 units
         
Elective Courses 9 units
  At least one of the following courses:  
  STAT 2120 Categorical Data Analysis 3 units
  STAT 2710 Design & Analysis of Surveys 3 units
  STAT 3820 Life Insurance & Life Contingencies 3 units
  One of the following courses:  
  SCI 3210 Simulation 3 units
  STAT course 3 units
  One MATH or STAT course** 3 units

        15 units
 
* This course can be replaced by STAT 1131, but no double count.
