Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematical Science (4-year)

The curriculum lays a solid foundation of mathematical concepts while teaching students how to solve practical problems using mathematics, statistics and computing. Several courses are taught in computer laboratories where students receive hands on experience solving realistic problems. Graduates enter a variety of careers where quantitative skills are valued. Their career areas include education, information technology, finance, and commerce. Many of the BSc graduates go on to study for advanced degrees in mathematics, statistics or related fields. The aim of the curriculum is to provide students with an education that prepares them for careers as practicing mathematicians and/or statisticians.
