Minor Programme in Sport & Recreation Management
 

The Minor Programme in Sport and Recreation Management will provide opportunities for students to take an interdisciplinary approach to the planning, provision, and management of sport and recreation. It will also provide a wider job opportunity for students who have completed this Minor Programme.

Students seeking to pursue the study of a minor programme in Sport & Recreation Management would need to fulfill 15 units of courses specified by the Department of Physical Education. Students should take note that no registration priority will be given to enrolment in minor courses. Upon completion of the 15 units required for the minor programme, students are required to apply to the Academic Registry for approval.

  PERM 2006 Organization & Administration in Physical Education & Recreation 3 units
         
Elective Courses 12 units
  Select any 4 of the following courses in accordance with the requirements:  
  PERM 2016 Theory & Practice in Physical Education & Recreation 3 units
  PERM 3016 Fitness & Recreation for Selected Population 3 units
  PERM 3035 Public & Community Recreation 3 units
  PERM 4005 Facility Management 3 units
  PERM 4006* Financial & Human Resources Management in Leisure Services 3 units
  PERM 4007 Leadership & Communication in Sport & Recreation 3 units
  PERM 4015* Marketing in Leisure Services 3 units
  PERM 4017 Principles and Practice of Exercise & Weight Management 3 units

* Prerequisite : PERM 2006 Organization & Administration in Physical Education & Recreation.
 
Students are required to take at least one 3-unit course at Level III or IV.
