Minor Programme in Public Relations and Advertising
 

Students seeking to pursue the study of a minor programme would need to fulfil 15 units of courses specified by the offering department/programme, and note that no registration priority will be given to enrolment in minor courses. Upon completion of the 15 units required for the minor programmes, students should apply to the Academic Registry for approval.

 
Requirements
 
The structure of the curriculum is as follows:

PRAD 2005 Introduction to Public Relations & Advertising 3 units
         
II. Elective Courses 12 units
  Four of the following courses (one should be at level 3 or 4):  
PRAD 3006 Media Planning 3 units
  PRAD 3015 Consumer Perspectives in Public Relations & Advertising 3 units
  PRAD 3017 Digital Public Relations 3 units
  PRAD 3026 Mobile & Social Network Communication 3 units
  PRAD 3036 Strategic Issues & Reputation Management 3 units
  PRAD 3055 Special Topics in Public Relations & Advertising 3 units
  PRAD 4005 Crisis Communication & Public Relations 3 units
  PRAD 4025 Branding & Communication 3 units
  PRAD 4036 Social Communication & Advertising 3 units

Remarks: Students can only exempt/transfer up to 6 units/2 courses of the courses of exchange programme as Minor programme in Public Relations and Advertising with equivalent syllabus and satisfactory results. Approval is subject to the Department of Communication Studies.
