Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Accounting

The Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Accounting (PGDPA) programme makes available locally a study path leading to an accredited accountancy degree equivalent for non-accountancy degree graduates. The programme has been accredited by Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) as equivalent to a Conversion Programme for Certified Public Accountants Qualification Programme (CPA QP) admission purposes. Upon completion of the programme, students are eligible to register in the CPA QP, provided they hold a recognized bachelor’s degree.

The programme provides part-time regular mode of study (to be completed in about 11 months), full-time intensive mode of study (to be completed in about 3 months in summer period), and full-time regular mode of study (to be completed in 6 months). The programme requires the completion of 6 core courses. In addition, all students must satisfy the pre-core programme requirements in 5 courses. All the courses would be taught by the faculty with relevant academic and professional qualifications and experience in order to provide the most updated information about the development in professional accounting.

Students who have successfully completed all the 6 core courses with a total of 18 units, satisfied the pre-core programme requirements, obtained a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above will be awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Accounting.
