Information for Programme Marshals
I. Duties and roles of Programme Marshals
A brief description of the duties of Programme Marshals is as follows:
1. The Programme Marshal will assist in lining up the graduates.
2. The Programme Marshal will lead the graduates to the right aisle of the auditorium to line up at the stairs on
the right of the platform, and then to proceed on to the stage.
3. On the stage, the Programme Marshal will first read out the programme title. The candidates will hand their
name cards to the Programme Marshal one by one, and the Programme Marshal will read out their names
(either in English, Cantonese or Putonghua).
4. After the last candidate for the conferred degree has descended the stage, the Programme Marshal will
descend the platform, and return to his/her seat.
II. Procedures for Conferment of Degrees
On the day of Commencement
Please dress in your academic regalia and arrive at the AC Hall 30 minutes before the Ceremony to join the rehearsal with graduates. Staff of the Academic Registry on duty in the AC Hall will approach you upon your arrival at the AC Hall for the on-site arrangement. Please go to Section III Loan of Academic Regalia below for information about academic regalia.

V. Lists of Graduates

VI. Seating plan for Programme Marshals (To be emailed by the end of October 2016)
AC Hall Floor Plan
All Programme Marshals are invited to attend the reheasral scheduled for Thursday, 10 November 2016 from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the AC Hall during which the Programme Marshals will go through the ceremonial procedures. If this is the first time for you to be a Programme Marshal, you are highly recommended to attend the rehearsal. Programme Marshals will be invited to confirm your attendance by Friday, 21 October 2016.
VIII. Loan of Academic Regalia
Please dress in academic regalia for the Ceremony. You will be invited by email to make reservation of academic regalia between 11 and 21 October 2016. The reserved items will be placed in the OEE603, East Wing, Oen Hall Building for your collection from 45 minutes before the ceremony on that day. Please return the items to our colleagues at the OEE 603 after the Ceremony. Details for the collection of the reserved items will be informed in due course.
